Terms and Conditions
1. All designs are copyright of Blackbox Cards.
2. The prices quoted for our items include envelopes and printed inserts.
Gold/silver/coloured envelopes will incur an additional charge.
Printing guests’ names on invitations & printing names addresses on envelopes will incur an additional charge.
3. There is no minimum order. It is advised that you place your order at least six months prior to your wedding date.
Orders placed with less than six months until your wedding date will be considered depending on the current workload at that time and may be subject to full payment at the time of ordering.
4. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your total order will be required at the time of ordering. The remaining balance will be due six weeks later, at which point your stationery will be commenced.
It is imperative that you indicate to us the date you require your invitations by
at the time of ordering (NB. This is NOT your wedding date. This is the date you wish to send your invitations).
5. Proofs will be sent for each stationery item ordered (excluding table plans). These must be signed and returned to us prior to commencement of your order. Blackbox Cards will not be held responsible for any mistakes once the proofs have been approved - PLEASE ensure that all the information you submit is correct as it cannot be rectified once proofs have been signed. No refund will be offered in the event of an error on the customer's part once the proofs have been signed.
6. UK orders will be sent via “Royal Mail Next Day” delivery and will require a signature upon receipt. Deliveries may be made in two stages (invitations and reply cards in the first stage with the rest of your order at a later stage). Please be advised that delivery charges are by parcel and not per order.
Postage costs are as follows:
Up to 500g = £8.05
500g - 1kg = £9.25
1kg – 2kg = £11.20
Over 2kg = £24.20
Please note that these prices are as quoted on the Royal Mail website and may change in accordance to Royal Mail prices. You will be advised of the postage costs at the time of ordering.
7. Table plans will incur a separate delivery charge of £20.00 and will be sent by recorded/special delivery.
8. Due to the nature of individually handcrafted items, slight variations may occur.
9. If any stationery material of your chosen design becomes out of stock or discontinued once you have placed an order, an alternative will be offered to you prior to the commencement of your order.
10.As your wedding stationery is personalised and unique to you, any cancelled orders will have to be paid for as follows:
Cancellation before proofs have been signed for and approved by customer: The cost of production and time spent by staff on preparing proofs will be recovered. This will not exceed 15% of the total order amount in any case.
Cancellation once proofs have been signed for and approved by customer:
(within six week payment period):
Once proofs have been signed and agreed by the customer the 50% deposit of the total order amount will be retained, all and whole, and no refund will be given in any case.
Once the proofs have been agreed and signed, customers will be given six weeks to pay the remaining balance to the company.
Cancellation of an order after the six week payment period: Once the remaining amount has been paid will result in all monies being retained,
all and whole, without exception.
All cancellations must be made in writing and sent by recorded delivery to the company. It is essential that customers retain proof of postage in the case that a letter of cancellation does not arrive in a timely fashion.
11.We will do our utmost to ensure that your order arrives to you in perfect condition. However, we will not be held responsible for any damages/loss once it has been posted to you. Blackbox Cards will not be held responsible for any damages that may occur once you have sent your invitations to your guests.
12. All prices are subject to change without notice. This will not affect orders where a deposit has been paid.
13. Finalised table plans must be submitted to us at least six weeks prior to your wedding date. Should these details be posted with less than six weeks until your wedding date, a late fee may occur (this fee covers the cost of extra staff to complete a late order). The standard late fee is £20.00 which must be paid to the company before the table plan order will be started.
